32. Polarsense

Introduction

We are a nature-loving couple, and in the autumn of 2017, the idea sparked to harness our family business’s laser engraving machine for our own creative projects. We wanted to create a tribute to the Finnish forest and the stories of the North.

Polarsense was born for those who wish to showcase their bond with nature as part of their everyday style, carrying the spirit of the woods with them. Every piece is ideated, designed, crafted, and packaged in our Helsinki home. Our products are made from FSC-certified birch plywood sourced from the forests of Central Finland and mounted on recycled cardboard. We finish each piece ourselves and photograph them outdoors during our hikes and woodland walks.

In addition, we craft traditional Tiffany stained glass pieces backed by decades of experience.
