Helsinki Christmas Market is the oldest outdoor Christmas market in Helsinki. Visiting the Market has become a tradition for many, and over 300,000 people visit the Christmas Market each year.
The Market offers delicious eating experiences and unique gifts sold by the craftsmen and women themselves as well as a beautiful, warm and relaxed Christmas atmosphere. The heart of the Market is a beloved old-time carousel and a fully-licensed food court that invites you to enjoy and savour all the flavours of Christmas.
The Helsinki Christmas Market operates responsibly and does good. To us, this means making environmentally friendly choices, commitment to reduce food waste, recycling, charity, supporting local producers and offering sustainable Christmas gifts.
Helsinki Christmas Market was cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus situation, but we wanted to provide an opportunity for our domestic small producers and local restaurants to sell their high-quality gift products and tasty treats online. On our vendors page, each vendor’s information contained a link to the vendor’s own online shop or contact information for placing a direct order.
In 2021, the traditional Helsinki Christmas Market will be held at Market Square. The Market will be open from 27 November to 22 December.
Mon–Thu 11–19 and Fri–Sun 10–20
Visitors are required to show a COVID-19 passport to be able to enter the restaurant yard from 28 November onwards. Prepare to show COVID-19 passport from 4 pm onwards. The restaurant yard is located at Kukkatori, around Havis Amanda statue. COVID-19 passports are not checked when arriving at the Market Square area.
